About the Artist and Commission Information

Cheri Sperl discovered her love for painting later in life.  Through online and onsite workshops with such notable artists as Colley Whisson, Chantel Barber, Keith Wicks, Kelli Folsom and Jennifer Gennari, she has developed and refined her style and skills.  She is constantly improving and exploring new styles and techniques while staying true to her artistic soul during the process.  With each piece, she creates a story to reach the viewers emotions and memories, allowing them to interject their own reality into the pieces.   Her inspirations come from life and from photos she takes of scenes which grab her attention and intrigue.  She leans towards portraits and figurative art, especially animal portraits, but anything which catches her eye or breath may become a painting.  Her artist style has been called expressionist with vibrant brush strokes describing her subject. She also have found that many can relate to what she paints and that her art connects with the viewer.
